K95 and X58 system

Hey,

I have a K95 Platinum and when I'm using it with my X58 system (yes, yes, it's old) I have an issue. I will often get double key presses. For example, when I press space I get two spaces, or when I press Ctrl+V it pastes twice. It's getting really annoying constantly having to go back to remove characters.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? :sigh!:

It is very doubtful it is system hardware or OS related. Before doing anything else, make sure you update to iCUE 3.24. Both 3.22 & 3.23 had a nasty little bug with the Actions Library that manifests itself in unusual ways depending on the Macros in there. It mimicked a whole range of different problems.

If still an issue, try the soft reset directions found below.

Thanks for the tip on iCUE, i checked and was already up to date, and I have tried the reset before.... I'm not sure. I'm ruling out an OS issue because I swap out multiple drives on the X58 and all OS's do it with the K95 but none with my Logitech K400. They both work flawlessly on my X299 system however, never an issue.

I'm leaning more towards the K95 having an issue with the USB 2.0 ports (doesn't have any 3.0) or USB controller on the motherboard maybe?.... I constantly get double presses, it's driving me mad. I wonder if a PCIe USB 3.0 card would help :/

The problem is when you have 2 pieces of hardware not playing together if I go on the corsair forums, they be like, its the board. If I go to EVGA, they be like, it's the K95.

I suspect it’s the keyboard. You can quit the software and see if the problem continued or stops to help indicate if this is iCUE or keyboard. If it is the keyboard, you are probably going to need a firmware flash. You have to do that through Corsair Tech support. Use the Ticket System link in the menu above to get started.

The keyboard should not have an issue with usb 2 and I think that problem would show itself differently.
