Lundon
Sorry if this is a silly question, but I have the Virtuoso RGB Wireless (non-SE). Is there any way to get the RGB lighting effects to work when the headset is NOT in wireless mode? It seems that flicking switch to wired instantly disables all lighting. Even when using iCue I can't seem to get any lighting to enable. I guess it only works when it's in wireless mode? Not that I mind wireless mode, but I feel like the audio quality during gaming was night and day between wired and wireless. But maybe I'm doing something wrong. Wireless comes across as flat and "tinny" to me even after playing with the EQ settings. And I get occasional audio hitching or cutting out in wireless mode. Was playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Lundon
What headset are you referring to? Oops. Apologies for leaving out the most important part. It's the Virtuoso RGB Wireless. Not the SE.
Corsair Employee Corsair Notepad Posted January 6, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 6, 2020 When you are attempting to use it in wired mode are you plugging in the 3.5mm cable or are you using the USB cable?
Lundon
When you are attempting to use it in wired mode are you plugging in the 3.5mm cable or are you using the USB cable? 3.5mm cable. USB-C does enable the lighting.
Corsair Employee Corsair Notepad Posted January 7, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 7, 2020 So the 3.5 is purely an analog cable and the RGB of the headset will not come on as 3.5mm cable does not provide power to the headset like the USB cable does. This is purely a limitation of the 3.5mm connection and the headset is definitely working as it should be.
