sekenknowen
Ok, I bought two TWINX1024-3200XLPT kits from Newegg. I received them today. I am having problems with my K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI motherboard. It says that my memory is either bad or installed incorrectly. (but that is not the question right now) While checking the memory, I saw that none of the 4 memory modules has the TwinX sticker on it. Does this mean that I did not get a true match pair? or did I get a pair that did not pass the test but was still packaged in a TwinX box? This has me wondering because I believed that I was buying a matched pair. By the way here are the serial numbers of the memory according to Newegg. DUAL DDR 1GB|PC3200XLPT CORSAIR RT (Serial#: 0BZSDV0700000U3, 0BZSDV0700000U7) Newegg Part #N82E16820145523 All 4 memory modules have the same lot # 0511032-1. They are XMS3208v1.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 30, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 30, 2005 TwinX set means that they are two identical memory modules; so if the modules came in as a pair (2 separate for 2 TwinX) then they should be TwinX set, especially if both modules on the same pack has everything identical down to the very last number on it. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 29, 2005 sekenknowen What exactly is the problem? Does it still exist? And you know that when you install 4 modules this system with set the memory to DDR333 right? This is a chipset limitation. In addition, I really doubt you would be able to run tight timings with all four slots filled as well as you would need to set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts and you should have at least a 550 Watt ATX 2.0 Compliant PSU with this system.
