apopilot
I am ordering all of my parts today and tomorrow. I have not come up with a specific memory package yet. I will be doing a lot of gaming and also using this PC for MEDIA CENTER 2005. I would like to know which 1GB (2x512) or 2 GB set should I go with. Also, where is the cheapest place to buy the memory. I am ordering most of my gear from zipzoomfly.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 29, 2005 Best performance would be with one set of Twinx1024-3200XL modules or if you need 2.0 Gig of memory I would suggest one set of Twinx2048-3200C2 modules. apopilot
Ok, I have been told by some peole that 4 512 MB modules is not as good as two 1 GB modules. Should I go with 1GB or 2GB for gaming and mediacenter. Is it ok to start with 1GB and then get another 1GB in several months?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 30, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 30, 2005 I would really encourage you to get what you plan on using, as sometime matching memory will be hard to do.
apopilot
Will it be a problem if I get the identical MODEL number Memory set in the near future?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 30, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 30, 2005 I would not suggest it, memory is always changing and I have no way to give you that kind of guarantee. Sorry. But if you do this you would need to match the part# and revision of the module you have or will have other wise you may run into a problem.
