K55 won't update firmware to 30.08

Recommended Posts

I have the option to update from the 30.06 firmware to the 30.08 firmware in iCUE, but the update fails immediately after clicking "update" and never getting past 0%, then the keyboard is removed from my list of devices in iCUE until I either restart the computer or unplug / plug-in the keyboard. I've tried following the soft reset procedure found on the support website without luck and further filed a support ticket, but have not heard back from Corsair yet.

I'm hoping someone here can give me some suggestions on how to go about fixing this issue.

Thanks

Hello,

I have a solution, I just had this issue with both my newly purchased k55 keyboard and Cosair Nightsword.

What worked for me, is I used my personal laptop I had laying around which was a Dell Latitude 7450. I downloaded icue and connected my keyboard and mouse to it and updated them there. It worked. So hopefully you have a spare laptop or a friend that's willing to share.

I found this solution somewhere online and tried it myself and it worked. Hopefully it works for you.
