Venk
I have a HP laptop that came with 2X256 MB modules of DDR 2700 RAM. I purchased and installed 2x512 MB modules from corsair sometime the end of december 2004. My laptop was working fine all along on its 1Gig memory until today. I switched on my laptop to find it show up a blue screen which says the physical memory contents had to be dumped to prevent damage and perfomed a reboot automatically. I tried the two modules that came originally with my laptop and it seems to function well. Does this mean my new memory modules could have developed a problem? I made an online purchase and Fry's outpost. How can i get a replacement?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 29, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 29, 2005 Please test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org, and I would check for a new bios for HP and if there is a newer update it and re-test the modules, but please test them one at a time and lets make sure one is not fialing.
