Salsiccia
Just wondering why the power connector on the XD5 pump/res is Molex and not SATA? Ordering my cables from Cablemod I'm going to have to add 1 molex cable just for this. (Actually, just realised my NZXT USB hub needs molex as well) Is there something unique that Molex offers that the XD5 requires that SATA doesn't provide? tiborrr
SATA does not provide enough power on +12V line, it is limited to ~ 2A, about 25W. Molex can do twice as much. The pump maximum power draw rating is 30W, hence it needs Molex connector to be regulatory compliant.
