niceticles
I bought two 512 sticks of value select Corsair memory= 1 gb @ 3200. Installed it in my system, it didnt work properly and needed to reformat my pc. Loaded xp.....etc.. Still it reboots on it's own randomly, giving me errors. I took it out, put in my xms corsair 2x256@2700 ram back in, and all is well. Obviously its a ram problem. I've decided I don't want to deal with this value select, so I'd like my money back. Please give me an rma number. my pc: 2.53 P4 Asus P4P800se G-force Ti4800se 12 gb HD
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 29, 2005 With that CPU you will need to set the memory Frequency at DDR333. Can you tell me the bios settings you had set for CPU and memory?
niceticles
The ddr I find is under dram frequency which was at auto, I switched it to 333 like you said. As far as cpu...its 135x19. Is this correct? I'm not good at tech stuff.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 29, 2005 Yes, and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts and disable legacy USB and test the module or modules again one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 29, 2005 Please use http://www.memtest.org to test the modules and I would test them one at a time. AI Over Clock Tuner: Manual CPU Freq: 133 MHz Memory Frequency: 125%/DDR333 Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts Resulting Frequency: 166MHz/333DDR Legacy USB: Disabled SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 7T Then test the modules one at a time with http://www..memtest.org. If you find one is failing then please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
