Legion2
The hardware playback feature for LNP and similar ignores the global brightness settings form the device settings tab. So for some hardware playback effects the brightness can't be set at all.
c-attack
For custom effects and color selectable presets, you can address this by turning down the color slider to reduce RGB value. That also will let you decide brightness on an individual instance level. However as far as I know, you can't adjust it for specialized presets like Spiral Rainbow, Rainbow channel, etc.
Legion2
That's my point, the Rainbow effects are too bright. The HW lighting is even brighter than normal lighting. I compared the brightness of the leds in the HW and Software playback mode. In the Software playback mode, the brightness is only 50% of that in the HW mode, even when set to 100% in iCUE settings.
