dilian
I purchased a dual channel kit pc 3200 DDR400 in August of last year. It is a Corsair XMS matched memory pair. It was working fine up until about a week ago. I thought the problem was my computer but i tried in my other computer and my friends. One of the sticks works perfectly but the other just causes the computer to beep a ram error code out of the speaker. I have tried this on an ABIT NF7-S rev 2 and a recent ASUS motherboard of my friend. Both high grade good motherboards. I really dont know what to do. I'm thinking to just send in for RMA. The sticks were ran at stock ever since i bought them new from the store. I dont see what the problem could be. Nothing changed in the computer since i've purchased the memory. Any help is appreciated but i have the feeling i'll have to RMA this RAM :(

dilian
i've tried. It just doesn't boot up. And it makes no sense because it works before. I cant get into the BIOS. When the stick is in alone it turns on, then beeps right away. When refering to my motherboard manual the beep turns out to mean a problem with memory. I've tried running it in other computers as well. No luck. The other module of the kit works fine.

dilian
i dunno if i should ask you or the RMA people but should i send in both modules since its a matched memory pair kit ? Thanks the last thing i would want is to end up with two different pairs of memory when i started with a dual channel kit. [edit] its only one of the modules that isn't working, thats why i ask. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 31, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 31, 2005 Yes I would submit the RMA request for 1 Twinx set and send both modules. But please make sure you have the correct part# on your RMA conformation. If not please call customer Service first. 888-222-4346 and dial "0". dilian
the part number is simply CMX512-3200C2 is it not ? [edit] or would i put CMX1024-3200C2 since i'm sending them as a pair ? Because when looking at the origional packaging of the memory right above the barcode it has TWINX1024-3200C2. Srry just asking in advance before i fill out the confirmation. Wired
CMX512-3200C2 is ONE STICK. CMX1024-3200C2 is ONE STICK (which you do not have). TWINX1024-3200C2 is what you have, which is 2 sticks. Submit the RMA for QUANTITY (1) of part # (TWINX1024-3200C2).
