Jabberwok
Your mainboard seem to dislike your two different DIMMs... One thing to try is to force your memory settings manualy inside your BIOS (if the Abit BIOS works like the ASUS one) : System Performance - (User Defined) CPU Interface - (Optimal) [Greyed Out] Memory Frequency - (100%) Memory Timings - (User Defined) SDRAM Active Precharge Delay - (6) SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay - (3) SDRAM RAS Precharge Delay - (3) SDRAM CAS Latency - (2.5T) FSB Spread Spectrum - (Disabled) AGP Spread Spectrum - (Disabled) CPU Vcore Setting - (Menu) CPU Vcore - (1.650V) Graphics Aperture Size - (128MB) AGP Frequency - (66MHz) System BIOS Cacheable - (Disabled) Video RAM Cacheable - (Disabled) DDR Reference Voltage - (2.7V) AGP VDDQ Voltage - (1.5V) AGP 8x Support - (Enabled) AGP Fast Write Capability - (Enabled)

slowmother
original stick versioin 4.1 new stick 5.1 would this make much difference? also memory timeings adjusted to 11 4 4 3 supposedly more relaxed to improve stability and ddr ram voltage up from 2.6v to2.7v
Wired
Yes, it is not recommended to mix memory modules. Try 2.8 volts.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 3, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 3, 2005 I would check for some other problem with your system. But I have no problem replacing your modules. But I would not suggest running 2 modules in dual channel that are not identical as that might be the problem.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 3, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 3, 2005 The issue does not appear to be a warranty issue, but you can ask our customer service if there is anything they can do to help you get your modules replaced with modules that match. Please either call our customer service at 888-222-4346 and dial "0" or follow the link in my signature "If you have submitted the RMA using the on line form and have not got a reply!"
