vik82
This stick stopped working yesterday after working fine for several years. I have 3 RAM sticks and 3 slots. I tried all combinations of sticks and slots and this is the only one which doesn't work (regardless of slot or what else is in). My computer won't even boot with it in so I can't run memtest on it. The other 2 pass memtest fine. The non-working stick has the following info on the stickers: CORSAIR PC-2100 CM64SD256-2100/Y 015037 PC2100U-25330-B1 Can I please get an RMA on it? -Vikram
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 28, 2005 Please test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts as well. If you do find one failing then lets get it or them replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However; if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem, and I would try testing the memory in another system to be sure. vik82
I think you've completely misunderstood what I said. I already know which is the bad memory module. I have three modules. Two are fine. One is dead. I can't run memtest on it because its dead and the computer won't boot with it in a slot. I don't get any errors with the good sticks from memtest. It seems pretty obvious to me that the module is dead so is it ok for me to go ahead and follow your "I think I have a bad part!” link to request a replacement?
