Linux support

Adding my plus to this. With Linux pulling harder in gaming I'd like to switch from windows. Unfortunately my keyboard (k70), mouse (Nightsword), H100i, and commander pro don't allow any sort of customization or changes while in linux.

When I decide to do another build or get a new keyboard or mouse, if iCue isn't supported, I'll probably look elsewhere.

I too would also like there to be Linux support for ICUE

Please support ICUE in Linux. I am currently trying to get ICUE to work in a windows 10 VM on Ubuntu 20.04 just to get my cool Corsair RGB working. So far- no luck. It is pretty ridiculous to have to install a complete windows 10 next to Linux just for this single purpose... It would be so much easier if you would just port this over for us... Thanks

Corsair seems to be a brand that doesn't give a shoot about Linux. I find it sad in this day and age everyone is still tethered to Windows. Heads up to anyone out there considering stepping into the Corsair ecosystem: no Linux support.

Not just Corsair. Most peripherals brands support Windows and Mac OS for drivers and that's it.

Linux is a bit of a can of worms for that. there's hundreds of distros, and software written for one may not work on another, so when you ask for "linux" support, it's still vague, and they would have to create 4 or 5 additional versions of iCUE when even the windows version is utter garbage and needs a lot of fixing to support 99.999% of the user base.

Can still ask but i doubt it will ever see the light of day 😕

Im adding myself to this. In the effort of getting away from MS spying on everyone and going all big brother once my new system is done being built (just waiting on a few last things to arrive) I am jumping to linux permanently and will be working on getting everything working. Steam and game devs are increasing support on linux, Corsair supporting their products on linux will only be a good thing.

Same here, Corsair K100 RGB + Obsidian D1000 and I request urgently a Linux support as well.

Come on guys, we are in 2021 , how come some students can make CKB and OpenRGB and you can't ?!

Don't you care about your reputation ?

PS : Ubuntu / Mint / Zorin OS

I'm in contact with the DEV from OpenRGB, nice guy, he does his best to integrate new keyboards, if unlike me you dont have a K100 RGB, check out his page https://openrgb.org/

CORSAIR don't care of their new customers, they keep them in jail with Windows, I'm not sure that is a respectable company anymore.

the problem is not windows, it's iCUE. It is complete thrash, and that's one of the reason i don't understand technically inclined people petitionning to have garbage ported to Linux ^^'

Personally i resold all my corsair gear except the power supply (that works better with HWinfo than iCUE), purely because iCUE is so bad, unstable and heavy on system resources.

Me as a Manjaro User would love to see mor Linux Support. I'm glad I'm able to use

Streamdeck XL(with streamdeck_UI)

K95 RGB Platinum Keyboard(with CKB-Next Software)

Dark Core RGB pro SE Mouse(Native)

Virtuoso SE Headset(Native)

Commander Pro (with openRGB software)

aso.  but I would buy Corsair Products in the future only if they add official Update-Support

The great thing about the Linux Community is that if the companies will not develop software to support Linux we just make it ourselves. Honestly Linux and the FOSS community is about to explode like no one has every seen. In the same why that Linux grew and took over the server market in the late 90's during the dot com boom Linux is very soon going to over take the personal computer market. It is already moving in that direction.

Ugh, I just bought a bunch of Corsair stuff to build a computer (first build ever). I was naive and assumed that, surely, you can run this stuff with Linux. Fortunately I haven't opened any boxes yet and can probably return basically everything and look for parts that have Linux software.

I would like Linux support as well.

I have a lot of Corsair hardware and would really like to be able to use iCue in Pop!_OS.
