aztec506
Im trying to decide whether to use Twin5400 @ 4.4.4.12 or Twin 4300 @ 3.3.3.8 on my Asus P5AD2-E Premium motherboard. I get conflicting advice. Corsair says use the higher frequency, Asus says use the lower CAS. Im not looking to overclock much, just want the most stable and with that the best performance that I can get. Any suggestions? David
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 24, 2005 You would get better performance with XMS5400C4 because you would have to over clock the CPU to run these modules. But if you do not plan or want to over clock then XMS4300C3 would be the best choice.

The 4300C3 that Im interested is listed as two different parts: one is XMS2 CMTWIN 2x1024 C3 and the other is XMS2 CMTWIN 2x1024 "A" C3. What is the difference in the one marked with an A and the ones that arent? Are the A;s inferior and cost less or made a different way or what? Will the performance be the same between the two? I understand the one without the A is discontinued and I was sitting on the fence about buying the one with the A in. I anxiously await your reply before ordering. Thanks again, David

Thanks again, David The "A" is just a single sided version, either one will run great! So get which ever one is less $.
