joe131 Posted March 24, 2005 Share Posted March 24, 2005 Hello I am having problems with my Corsair 184-Pin 512MB DDR PC-2100 For Dell, Compaq, HP, IBM and Gateway Desktops - Retail Model# CMSS512MB-266 Item # N82E16820145113 Specifications: Manufacturer: Corsair Speed: DDR266(PC2100) Type: 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Error Checking: Non-ECC Registered/Unbuffered: Unbuffered Bandwidth: 2.1GB/s Organization: 64M x 64 -Bit http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-145-113&depa=0 when i place the ram in the slot, it fits in perfectly, but when i turn on my computer, it just beeps forever :sigh!: ...what's wrong with it, is it the wrong kind, is it broken?when i take it out it works with my old ram is what is above the same as this kind of ram from the HP website for my HP 775y? 512MB P5300S#ABA DDR PC2100 • CL=2.5 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR266 • 2.5V • 64Meg x 64 that is what i found was compatible with my computer because i have an HP 775y and i looked on the site if you need my specs or anything ill post them, i need HELP PLEASE :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
