gonzon
I have the matched pair of 512mb, Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2 . Yesterday, the computer crashed, and now when I´m booting my computer the POST says "System failed memory test". One, or maybe both modules has gone bad. I have tried one/both in another brand new computer with a compatible motherboard, and this one crashes also. What is my next move? Should I send in my modules? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 23, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 23, 2005 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 23, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 23, 2005 Please make sure that you have the latest bios, and then load setop defaults and set these settings manually and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. I have the latest stable bios from Asus and I made the changes you said. But, my system wont start. I only get the "System failed memory test" POST-report. So I can´t run the memtest. What should I do next?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 24, 2005 Please try the modules one at a time. If its one of the modules, one will work and one will not. If its some other problem neither one will run properly!
gonzon
At the moment I´m running memtest on one of my modules on another working computer. Memtest glows red and shows a bunch of errors (over 1 000 000 right now), and the test sequence is far from finished. So, i guess something is wrong with this module :[pouts: Should I send in only one, or both modules?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 24, 2005 I would suggest we get them both replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
gonzon
I have now shipped my memory sticks to you. When do I know if I get a new pair?
Wired
There is no "if". When an RMA is approved, you WILL get a new pair. Generally after they get it there's a 2 or 3 day processing time I think (may be shorter). Std 3 day shipping I think. Did you put on the RMA form 1 TWINX1024-3200C2 or 2 CMS512-3200C2? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 4, 2005 You can check the status of your RMA by sending and email to rma@corsairmemory.com with your RMA# and ask them from tracking info.
