d3l Posted March 22, 2005 Share Posted March 22, 2005 hi, i have an asus a7n8x rev. 1.4 mb (bios 1008) and an athlon xp 3200+. i bought twinx xms3200 cl2 platinum with these specs: # part number : cmx512-3200c2pt # version number : 5,1 # lot number : 0505028-1 but seems not works. here some tests: stick #1 on dimm slot 3, ddr voltage 2.7, 200mhz, user define T: 3-3-3-8 : system dont boot, memtest report error s (pass 3 - errors 4) stick #1 on dimm slot 3, ddr voltage 2.7, 166mhz, user define T: 3-3-3-8 : system boot, memtest report no errors and games works good for hours. stick #2 on dimm slot 3, ddr voltage 2.7, 166mhz or 200mhz, same T settings: system dont boot any suggest? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 23, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 23, 2005 That would suggest some other problem, and with this MB I would set the FSB Jumper to pins 2-3 furthest away from the CPU and then reset the bios with the CLRTC jumper and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and if you still get the same problem, I would see if you can test them in another system.
