I am currently eConfiguring a PC and wanted to know if anyone had any opinions or suggestions about the following configuration before I place the order.

My client would like a gaming PC (HL2 & CS:S) with 1GB of RAM – and may potentially add an additional 1GB of RAM in the near future. (Q3 05)

___

Corsair TWINX1024-3200PT 1GB Kit DDR400 XMS3200 Dual-Channel Memory w/Platinum Heat Spreader Retail ($175)

In a

Asus P4P800SE 865PE P4 800FSB Skt478 4GB Dual-DDR400 ATX ($95)

P-4 Prescott 3.4GHz, 800MHz FSB Socket 478, 1MB Cache - 500W PS - etc

Wired - Thank You for your reply.

His only requirement is 1Gg now with the ability to add one additional Gb in Q3 05.

I would like to stick with a PT since the case will have a window.

I am open to other options...do you have any lower latency suggestions? (I am willing to change motherboads...Asus has always been good for me.)

Ram Guy - Thank You for your reply.

Am I correct in assuming the reason you are suggesting using these two sticks over the four previously mentioned sticks is because of the C2 Cass 2-3-3-6?

Can you suggest a better socket 478 motherboard / RAM combination?
