bbutler
Good morning. I purchased Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PT to replace a single stick of Ultra 512MB PC3200 DDR that I believe to be bad (computer freezes up. I have a friend who also had a bad stick and through some research have found other unhappy customers). Note: I do have the current BIOS rev1009.007. Although I don't think it to be the source, I have a 350 watt power supply and will be confirming if it is adequately serving the system. My request for assistance involves the proper memory settings for the Corsair product. Through this forum site I am aware of the following settings: CAS Latency=2.5 (I am running a AMD Athlon 64 3400+ CPU) TRCD=3 TRP=3 TRAS=6 However, the BIOS prompts for the following other settings: Memclock Mode - Auto, Limit Bank Interleaving - Options: Auto, enabled, disabled Node Interleaving - Options: Auto, disabled Burst Length - Options: 8 beats, 4 beats TRC - Options: Auto, 7,8,9,10,11,12,13 TRFC - Options: Auto, 9,10,11,12,13,14,15 TWR - Options: Auto, 2,3 TRWT - Options: Auto, 1,2,3,4,5,6 TWCL - Options: Auto, 1,2 Asynclat - Options: Auto, 4,5,6,7,8,9 Read Preamble Setting - Options: Auto, 2ns,2.5ns,3ns,3.5ns,4ns,4.5ns,5ns, 5.5ns,6ns,6.5ns,7ns,7.5ns,8ns,8.5ns,9ns 2T Command - Options: auto, enabled Admittedly I am a novice at this, but want to learn. Naturally, I would like to get the most out of the memory without affecting stability. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a blessed day!
