in2deep41
My computer would not start and debug led on motherboard read "first block memory detect." After re-seating everying thing in my motherboard, resetting the cmos, and trying the stick in the third dimm, my computer would still not boot up. Inserted a different stick of ram into my motherboard and it fired right up, thus showing me in fact that it is a defective stick of ram. Was only in the computer for 1 week before malfunctioning. Is no longer within the newegg return period of 30 days. Sincerely, Joe Twardy

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 23, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 23, 2005 Please try and reset the bios and then see if it will post and let you set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. If you still have problems, I have no problem replacing your modules if you want to try that. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
