kbtat2
What is the blue wire coming out of the water pump in the "Cool" kit? Is it for temps or to monitor the that the pump is working? Thanks.
Corsair Employees COOL GUY Posted March 22, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 22, 2005 The blue wire is a TACH wire that will monitor the RPM's of the pump. You can plug it into a unused fan header on your MB and monitor the pump from various hardware monitoring programs.
JonKrmr
I just bought a COOL kit and my pump only has two wires on it. What gives? Would be nice to have some way of monitoring the water flow.
Corsair Employees COOL GUY Posted March 22, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 22, 2005 There are very few kits that did ship with the TACH wire for the pump at this point. They were sent to us in error. We did not want to hold shipments of the COOL kit and included this in a limited number of kits. It may become a permanent feature in the future. At this current time it is only in a limited number of kits.
kbtat2
Cool, Then I guess I got lucky for once. And my kit is GREAT!! I have been able to overclock my cpu and my memory even more than before. I think it's because the cpu heatsink isn't blowing over the Northbridge anymore. Anyway thanks for all of your replys.
