Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 21, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 21, 2005 VS1GBKit400 or Twinx1024-3200C2 would both be a good Value choice.
mazdaracer
I have this same mobo, MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum and I'm looking for the best combo for memory. MSI says to use single sided DDR400(PC3200)memory for best performance, I was thinking of using 4 512 modules. Does Corsair make these and what would the part numbers be? I'm open to any other suggestions for memory. Thanks George
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 21, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 21, 2005 Not at this time, All XMS512 Meg and larger modules would be double sided. I would suggest if you want 2.0 Gig of memory you go with Twinx2048-3200C2 for best performance. If you use 4 512 Meg modules you may be limited to DDR333. plehfoesuoh
thanks, this is one of my problem. I would like to know what is chipset on corsair value select ? Someone show me corsair VS has number 2.5-3-3-8 (by cpu-z) is it right? If not then what is it? ( 3-3-3-8, 3-4-4-8 )
Wired
Chipsets are on motherboards, not memory. You mean to ask what ICs are on it. The VS ICs change frequently, and as such I do not think are generally available. VS400: 2.5-3-3-8 VS400C3: 3-4-4-8 However, the timings on VS aren't guaranteed, but they should generally hit those timings with no problems.
