Seriously Corsair? I have to pay shipping for your defective product?

I've had my Dark Core SE for less than a year and the scroll wheel breaks.

 

I send in an RMA request -- kudos for the quick response time at least.

 

Request is approved -- but to get my replacement you're making me pay shipping to send the defective item in?!?!?!?

 

Please explain why I should pay shipping for something that was beyond my control?!?!? Considering the mouse broke so quickly I don't see why I should continue throwing money at it.

 

While I'm considering whether this is even worth it or not I'd like to know:

 

Will I get a brand new replacement or a refurbished one?
