retardo
Hi, I wonder what the max voltage is I can give my 3200XL without damaging them? Maybe even more important; What's the max if I wanna stay within warranty limits? I seen that in many reviews they run them at 3.0 - they even test 3.2 - but at the moment, I don't dare to go higher than 2.8 since I don't have a clear answer to my question yet. Also if anyone who have simular memory, would care to post they max freq@volt (stable ofcourse), that could be interesting. Thanx in advance! CMC_SAVAGE
You can go up to 2.9 without voiding the warranty.
reinhard
i thougt 2,85volt is the highest voltage without voiding warranty. more then 2,85v is anyway not necessarily, it has no posstive effect on the modules. i reach 250fsb@2,5-3-3-7 (2,85v) and i think that is a respectable fsb for these modules. ( 3200xlpt ) ( possibly i can go higher, but i have not try't it yet )
Wired
Nope, you can set it up to, but not over, 2.9 volts max.

retardo
Thanx for the answers guys! ferry_g: Thanx a bunch for all the detailed info! I had no idea that they could run 600mhz! Have you tried raising the voltage (or latency) after 500mhz to see if you could avoid memtest error? Also, may I ask why you run 400mhz@2-3-2-5 and not 2-2-2-5? Is there any advantages by this? -or is it a typo? I wish I had your board, but unfortunatly I only got a A8N-Deluxe. I read that there are certain issues with Corsair XL and this board :(
Wired
There aren't issues with that board and that memory. http://memtest.corsairmemory.com/print_report.aspx?model=Asus++A8N-SLI+Deluxe&pn=TWINX1024-3200XL&id=5021

We were talking about overclocking the memory, and with "issues" I mean limited overclocking potential. I read a few places that 3200XL will not go so high with this board. We were talking about overclocking the memory, and with "issues" I mean limited overclocking potential. I read a few places that 3200XL will not go so high with this board. Retardo, I also have A8N SLI Deluxe that cannot go so high as DFI LanParty nF4 SLI-DR. DFI SLI is really superior for this nF4 chipset. By default, DFI detect TwinX1024-3200XLPT by 2-3-2-5, so you have set manually the TRCD to 2. If you want go oc, you might want consider DFI mb & off cource ATX v2.01 psu that has 2 or more rails of its 12V! Now I'm using Thermaltake Pure Power 680 watts with active PFC that has 3 rails of 12V. Happy computing & remember not to push TwinX1024-3200XLPT beyond 2.9 volts!
