iiee
Hi, I just bought Corsair water cooler for my FX55, and would like to make clear of something b4 i install it. 1) Is the green colour coolant to be poured entirely into the reservoir? or mix with water with certain ratio? 2) How long shall i replace the coolant after use? is the coolant available separately? Can i use coolant for car radiator instead :p ? Thank you very much.
Wired
From page 21: http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/products/guides/COOLInstallGuideFinal.pdf For the water cooling system to work properly, the system must be filled with a water/coolant mixture and purged of air. The kit comes with a 225ml bottle of coolant specially formulated for water cooling. The product should be mixed with distilled or de-mineralized water only. DO NOT use tap water to mix with the coolant – dissolved minerals chemicals in tap water will form deposits in the water cooling system limiting the performance and useful life of the system. FILL PROCEDURE 1. Check all cooling system connections on the reservoir, pump and radiator. Confirm that the clamps are in place and have been tightened. Check the tubing to confirm that there are no kinks of pinching of the tube. 2. Check the electrical connections and confirm that the pump and fan have been connected to the computer’s power supply. 3. Empty the entire bottle of the supplied concentrated coolant into the reservoir. 4. Fill the reservoir with distilled, or de-mineralized, water until the liquid level in the reservoir is to the bottom threads in the fill cap. At this point in time, some coolant should be running down the tubing from the reservoir to the pump.
iiee
LOLOLOL.... I forgot completely there is a CD inside the box; while i open it i put the CD aside and... Thx for the info~ I found the manual on CD p/s: anyway I found difficulty to install the water block on my Gigabyte mainboard, because the retention frame is not threaded as illustrated in the manual but comes with hollow hole. i have to secure the water block using nut provided at the back of mainboard. So I am unable to install the mainboard on casing until the water block is secured properly >_<

DO NOT USE any long life coolant type. Use only Environmental friendly anti-freeze like Prestone LowTox or Sierra anti-freeze.
