c0rs4ir
What does "using the new AES-XTS encryption method" mean? It means: BitLocker with enabled hardware encryption built in MP600 drive? No it means the AES-XTS encryption method which Microsoft recently added to BitLocker. It can be configured via group policy so I was not talking about any hardware based implementation in the drive. PoorLittleBoy
This is the first Corsair product I've purchased, and I just got it so I'd like to see if I can get this fixed within my return window. My speeds are not that great, and about what I could get from an SSD about $100 cheaper, so I would like to see if someone from Corsair could help me troubleshoot to get those speeds up. Some general notes: Firmware version: 11.3 Motherboard: HP Shire 8509 CPU: i7-9700 Ram: 32 GB 2666 DDR4 There is no option in the bios to change the SSD gen Edited September 11, 2020 by PoorLittleBoy

I'd return while you can and go for a PCIe3.0 SSD for your system unless you plan to upgrade your HP with a new CPU/motherboard that supports PCIe4.0 (HP pre-built compatibility with 3rd-party motherboards is unknown, so you'd likely have to wait for a new pre-built model to come out or build a new PC). Corsair Employee Corsair CJ Posted September 11, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 11, 2020 Double posting... but since I'm not replying to anyone in particular. Could y'all provide CrystalDiskInfo screenshots in addition to benchmark results? Our product team is taking another look at this and in-depth drive usage info along with performance data will help us greatly. Thank you

Indeed, I did not realize at the time that Intel GPUs didn't, until Gen 11, support PCIe4.0 speeds. I read the product information on Amazon pretty thoroughly and saw nothing about it there either. I appreciate your response. Since there are too many unknowns I've decided I should go with someone else, especially since the RND4K speeds I'm getting on the Corsair are lower than my Intel 660p. Please let me know your results in the responses. Before: After: It did help - but is it "as it should" now? I feel the writespeed is still low .. kityler
Hi, I alos get slow perf for a fresh new 2TB MP600, latest firmware. The RND test are totaly catastrophic. Runing a Ryzen 5600x on a Asus B550 and 32GB DDR4-3800. Fresh install. No other soft running. Edited January 9, 2021 by kityler
silstream
I'm also suffering with really slow write performance (5000Mb/s read but only 700Mb/s write). I've installed the latest firmware, freed up space, disabled fast startup. Any other suggestions short of wiping the entire drive? Running a Ryzen 5600X on an Asus X570 Gaming Plus motherboard and 16Gb DDR4-4133. Edited January 12, 2021 by silstream
HitchMitch
https://www.kingston.com/unitedkingdom/en/blog/pc-performance/pcie-gen-4-explained Hi Chymerix, I know this is very late and likely won't help you but the above link helped me figure out why my ssd was under speed. I feel quite silly. My M.2 Slots are Gen 3x4, making my maximum bandwidth 4GB/s. This means I can't make use of that additional tasty 3,250 read and 2,800 write. Fortunately they're backwards compatible so I can use my current motherboard until I'm ready to upgrade my processor. I have an i9-9900kf at the moment so unlikely to be upgrading soon.I had a quick look at your motherboard, It look like it could be either Gen3x4 or Gen4x4. If yours is Gen 3, you will have the same issue as me. It looks like the rest of your PCIe is 4.0 though, not sure why yours was misbehaving.Maybe this will help someone one day, or someone helpful from Corsair will tell me I'm a silly billy...Fortunately your test seems to be far better than mine, and over 4000MB/s , making me think yours is at least performing as a gen 4. Good luck. 🙂 PS I'm also behind a motherboard model for my 3080ti, and now i've added this to it, I'm a little sad, and I'll eventuallky end up doing what all PC People do, and upgrade so I don't have to think about it everytime I light up my rig 😾 PPS: With these results, I'm sure I can get over it for a bit, it'll be a nice surprise in the future, still very speedy storage. Page 26 of the manual: Quote The availability of the PCIEX4_1 slot and SATA connectors may be affected by the type of device installed in the M.2 sockets. The M2C_SB connector shares bandwidth with the PCIEX4_1 slot. Do you have anything in the PCIEX4_1 slot?
