pedderd
Hi, I have an MSI K8T Neo mobo, AMD 3000+ 64, and 1 stick of CMX512-3200C2PRO Corsair memory. I need to increase memory. Can I add another of the same ? Or will this give problems ? If so, is the only option to ditch it and buy a 1Gb stick or Twinx ? I have also read somewhere about using slots 1 & 3 ? Thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 18, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 18, 2005 Yes, but you should match the module part# and revision to what you have now. If the module you have now is more than 4 months old that may be hard to find.
leeghoofd
I would update the bios to the latest version and then make a deal with your vendor if you can swap the old one and go for a Twinx module. Indeed when using slot 1 and 3 you can increase memory bandwith by goin dual channel and gain some performance.
