Avatar786
Hi, I have purchased the TWINX1024-3200C2PRO memory modules, but when i use them in slots 1 and 3 the memory count comes up saying single channel, when i put them in slots 1 and 2 it doen't say anything other than the memory count. The manual says that dual channel will not work with double sided memory modules above 333mhz, could you tell me whether these modules are single or double sided? If they are double sided could you tell what modules to buy which are single sided and equivalent to these ones so i can run dual channel and overclock. Many Thanks,
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 16, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 16, 2005 Do you have a socket 754 MB or a socket 939 K8N Neo 2? If you have a socket 754 CPU then they are only single channel.
Avatar786
MSI K8N Diamond socket 939. Thanks for the reply, the motherboard manual was wrong, rather than slots 1 and 3 i used 1 and 2 and this seemed to work ok in dual channel mode. Thanks a lot. Moridin
I have the K8N Diamond Plus running the TwinX 2048 in dual channel mode (slots 1/2) with no problem. I had 2x this (all 4GB detected and used by BIOS and x64 OS) before and ran beautifully in dual channel mode...@ 333MHz though. ;) Hope this helps! Current Mem: TwinX 2048 - 2x CMX1024c2 (XMS3202 v1.2 0553096-6) Moridin
