Bad VS512MB400

Runlinux

Recommended Posts

After some time of my pc giving my troubles, I decided to test my ram with memtest86. Both modules (same part) tested as bad. If need be I will test again and post a screenshot for anyone interested.

The ram was bought back in October.

EDIT : I had the ram running at 220 fsb with 2.5-3-3-11 timings with my mobile 2500+ and my Asus A7N8X Deluxe 2.0. Normal voltages for about 2 months before the problems started happening. Errors readin from a cd drive and even a blue screen while installing windows xp with a different motherboard to see if it was my Asus being the problem (Abit VA-10).

Thanks.

well, i found that it was the ram timings giving me issues with the motherboard i tested it in. i tested both sticks in 2 different motherboards and they were fine. i guess my asus board may have crapped out before the ram did.
