Nevets
I ordered a CMX512-3200LLPT with timings of 2326 and instead got CMX512-3200XLPT with timings 2225 at $99.00. I know that the XLPT is suppose to be better than the LLPT (2225 vs 2326) but I want to use them in DDR mode and I was told that only exact matching pairs of memory sticks can be used. Should I return the XLPT and get another stick of LLPT or return the LLPT and get another stick of XLPT? Which one is really better? I also have some TWINX CMX256A-3200LLPT (2326) V1.2 that I have used in DDR mode. (4 sticks right now: 1 set of TWINX CMX256A-3200LLPT (2326) V1.2 1 CMX512-3200 LLPT (2326) V3.1 1 CMX512-3200XLPT (2225) V1.1) Some questions: What is the difference between the V1.2 (CH5 chips I think) vs the V3.1 of the LLPT? What is the difference between the V1.3 LLPT and the V1.1 XLPT? Can I use the two 512 sticks (2225 and 2326) in DDR as I did with the TWINX? Also, can I use either of the 512 sticks in conjunction with the TWINX in DDR mode to give me 1GIG of memory? Thanks for your relpies.
