buttbutt789
I find that these 4 sticks are unstable. I tried them out one by one, paired them up, and ran mem86 test on them and yet my computer still crashes. When i tried different memory sticks the system ran fine and passed the mem86 test. I set my bios to default yet i still get problems.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 15, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 15, 2005 With 4 modules you will need to relax the timings and with these modules the minimum voltage would 2.75 Volts. So I would try these settings and then test the system with http://www.memtest.org and if you get errors please test the modules at their tested settings one at a time at 2.75 Volts. Please try these settings after you load setup defaults. AI Over Clock Tuner: Manual CPU Freq: 200 MHz Memory Frequency: 100%/DDR400 Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts (but if with 4 modules 2.85 Volts) Resulting Frequency: 200MHz/400DDR Legacy USB: Disabled SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 7T Then test the modules one at a time with http://www..memtest.org. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 15, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 15, 2005 Can you be more specific? What is the problem you see? Errors in what test of memtest? Or just not stable in a specific application or O.S.?
buttbutt789
I ran mem86 test over again and discover that 3 out 4 of my modules are not working correctly. The three sticks of ram all failed mem86 awfully each one containing 10 or more failed tests. When i run a game the system crashes within seconds of gameplay. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 16, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 16, 2005 That would suggest some other problem, did you disable legacy USB when you ran memtest? And please list the exact settings you had set and the complete system spec.
