mcruty
I had one stick as part of 3 -512 CMX512-3200LLPRO sticks on a Gigabyte GA-7NNXP motherboard. One stick stopped functioning. I tried it in the other DIMM slots and another motherboard (Asus A7N8-E Deluxe). It does not work. Up until its failure it had worked OK. Any thoughts? Original MB: Gigabyte GA-7NNXP Current MB: Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe (Note: have 2 additional sticks of same memory - work fine with either board) CPU speed: 2.2 GHz FSB: 200 MHz BIOS settings: CPU Frequency: 200MHz CPU Multiplier: 11.5 System Performance: Optimal Memory Frequency: Auto Memory Timing: Optimal (result: 6-3-2-2T, not adjustible) FSB Spread Spectrum: 0.50%
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 14, 2005 Please set the dim voltage to 2.7 Volts and set the system performance to user define and then set the timings manually and test the suspect module with http://www.memtest.org
mcruty
Please set the dim voltage to 2.7 Volts and set the system performance to user define and then set the timings manually and test the suspect module with http://www.memtest.org There is no voltage readout on the Asus board but when the stick was on the Gigabyte board, V= 2.7 volts. The computer will not boot with this stick either alone or with one of the good sticks. This was true with both boards (I no longer have the Gigabyte board available)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 14, 2005 The setting on that MB is DDR referance voltage and it is there, but you may have to scroll down to see it. And the setting on the gigabyte MB would be Dim Over Voltage Control and +.2 Volts.

And the setting on the gigabyte MB would be Dim Over Voltage Control and +.2 Volts. Found it.....was 2.6V....raised to 2.7V....no difference. The Gigabyte board is no longer available....the Asus board replaced it (but the voltage on that board was 2.7V)
