Charles395
I have 2 question 1) Why is the Android emulator so slow? 2)How can we speed up the Android emulator ? > I have got a 2.67 GHz Celeron processor, and 1.21 GB of RAM on a x86 Windows XP Professional machine. > My understanding is that the Android Emulator should start fairly quickly on such a machine, but for me, it does not. I have followed all the instructions in setting up the IDE, SDKs, JDKs and such and have had some success in starting the emulator quickly, but that is very rare. How can I, if possible, fix this problem? Please anyone help me. :dunno:
DevBiker
You need to have virtualization extensions enabled in the BIOS for the processor. I'm fairly certain that those aren't supported on Celeron. And you'd need to use a 64-bit OS for that. And not XP ... Vista or higher (HyperV) And you have nowhere near enough RAM.
