iCUE cannot be updated/uninstalled

I tried to update from 3.13.94 to 3.14.104 but I get a message that

"The older version of CORSAIR iCUE Software cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group."

I have also tried to download the new software manually. Same issue.

Further I tried to uninstall iCUE via control center but I get "Error applying transforms".

How can I update/reinstall iCUE?

Just found a solution. In case someone else has this issue:

1) Got to this Microsoft page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed

2) Click "Download" and execute it.

3) In the troubleshoot dialog select "Uninstall"

4) In the next list select "iCUE"

5) Then I selected to let iCUE handle the problem

6) After some minutes the problem was gone and I have installed the new version via the manual installer

The problem with this approach is that in my system, the no such entries appear. No "iCUE" no "Corsair."

Help?

Still nothing?

Corsair really need to fix its jazz.

The only thing that helps is Martau's Total Uninstall utility but now my 30-day demo is over. Am I supposed to shell out $20 more just so I can fix this?

I tried Revo Uninstaller and it found a gazillion registry entries yet I'm scared to delete them.

So what now? :(

Corsair should at least make a decent uninstaller. :(

I was able to workaround that bug by:

- open "regedit" (win-key + "regedit")

- open the tree: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products

- search for "corsair"

- remove the "Transforms" entry

now uninstall should work again
