H60 (2018) Power Connection?

To cpu fan. All of those headers are 3/4 auto select. The motherboard detects the number of pins and then changes it to DC or PWM accordingly. In this case it doesn’t matter since that wire is not a power/control line. It will report a pump speed to the bios and give you a boot error if something goes wrong (on cpu fan). The unit’s power will come from the SATA connector.

You can use any of the headers if they are more convenient, but will loose the bios warning if the pump kicks off.

Thank you. Your answer is very illuminative for me. I will make the connections like you said. 3 pins to cpu header, 4 pins to sys header.
