IhvFaith2
I've just bought a DFI LanParty nF4 SLI-DR motherboard and I am trying to get a hold of an Athlon 64 FX-55 processor to mate up with it. I also purchased one BFG GeForce 6800 Ultra OC 256MB DDR3 video card (I plan on adding a second one in the near future). My question: The DFI motherboard says that the memory should be "128-bit wide" ... is the Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2PT of this type? I cannot find a technical spec list for this memory anywhere. Is the TWINX2048-3200C2PT memory the best choice for this setup? I plan on trying my hand at overclocking with this computer that I am building. What would be the best memory for me to purchase with this in mind? Thanks, Terry C.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 11, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 11, 2005 Yes, that would suggest you need two modules to enable dual channel.

I picked up the twinex 2048re3200 and the computer will not boot up. Do you think it is because the memory is ecc and the chipset Nvidea nf4sli says non ecc. I have built dozens of computers but have never had this problem.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 25, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 25, 2005 Yes, that MB will not support Registered ECC memory. You would need to order modules that have no "R" or "RE" in the part#. Sorry!
