brewskee
Hello All, I am new to this type of thing and was hoping you guys could help me out! I need some help regarding my A8N-SLI Deluxe and my Corsair memory. I have 2gigs installed but the bios only sees 1 gig, and it sees it as ddr333 instead of ddr400. The pc is used for gaming and some graphics. Any help is much appreciated! My specs from Sandra - Mainboard Manufacturer ASUSTeK Computer INC. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 10, 2005 I am sorry but you cannot mix memory with this platform, and all of the modules would need to be the exact same part# and revision. In addition, if you install more than 2 modules the memory controller in the CPU will revert to DDR333 by default.
brewskee
Thanks for the answer. So to achieve 2 gigs, I need to either purchase 2 more 512's with the same part# and rev# and run it at 333, or purchase 2 new matched 1 gigs? What would you recommend for this platform to acheive the best performance? Cost is not a factor!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 10, 2005 Yes thats correct. I would suggest Twinx2048-3200C2.
