zible
I have one stick of TWINX512-2700LLPT in my system and I am thinking it's bad. Memtest returns 25 errors on the module (so far). I ran memtest because occasionaly I'll get write errors, or memory allocation errors. I've been suspcious of this module for a while now, but haven't done anything about it as I only have one, and can't be down. My system is a AMD 2800+ fsb is 333 memory is 333 nothing is overclocked and all bios settings are set to default settings. What else is needed? Also if this is a bad part, and I need to RMA it, is it's twin still available? I would like to get another stick before I RMA this, and would like the replacement to be compatible with what I have and what I will end up with after the RMA. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 9, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 9, 2005 Please test it with the settings I gave you previously and if you get errors I would suggest we get your module or modules replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
zible
Will do, be back in a couple of hours. One question though, if I have my speeds detected automatically by SPD, my T(RCD) is detected at 2 not three. Is that a problem? It was the only setting I had to change that was different from what you suggested (that and the updated memtest)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 9, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 9, 2005 Yes, and thats why I suggested you set the timings manually. And you should set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts as well. But test the module to be sure.
zible
After 4 hours I have about 17 Errors, so I'm assuming that means I need to get a replacement. I'll follow the link
