tytlyf
Hi eveyone, my first post. I have been running one stick of pc3200 value corsair for a month now. Everything runs fine, no errors. I just bought another stick, same identical one, same #'s on memory modules also (ps1300-506). When I put them both together in my computer, it doesnt run right. I ran memtest at DDR400, and i got 4 errors and it listed it running DDR401. not 400? All settings were auto, even processor. What's funny is, i can run each one individually in my system, one stick, and i can get it to run DDR440 with 0 errors. So why am I having a problem with these sticks? Bios? a strange setting? does it have something to do with them both being single channel? My motherboard only has 2 DIMM slots. And it supports DDR400. Thx for the help. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 9, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 9, 2005 Please test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing. If they both pass please try slots 2-3 or 1-3 if you have 3 slots and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts as well.

I'm a little confused as to why they dont work together. They dont even run at 400 with 0 errors. My board only has 2 DIMM slots. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 9, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 9, 2005 I think we spoke on the phone, But I would try and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 or 2.8 Volts and see if that helps.
tytlyf
I tried that, and I can't get a break. I think I may have a problem with my motherboard, even though it's new. I'm thinkin of gettin my money back on this single stick. And just using the other one til i have enuf money to get a 1024 single stick. And not using the other slot. I like the fact of running at 1T, I would like to find out if the board supports dual DDR. I don't think so. Actually, I dont think my processor supports it. Might be wrong. Thx for the help
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 10, 2005 All socket 754 MB's would be single channel. You would need a socket 939 MB and CPU to suppport dual channel. And please let me know how it turns out!
tytlyf
the highest i have had my ram voltage is 2.7. For some reason my bios reads that my voltage is .07 higher than the figure selected. So if i select 2.7, the bios reads it as 2.77. This might be a glich in the bios. I only have 2.7 and 2.8 selections. I can't select 2.75. I'm worried selecting 2.8 will read 2.87.
