TheTiesThatBind
So I’m working on Intel platform so the memory things are way better than Ryzen but still a question I have to ask. Is it okay if I mix the exact same RAM kits? What I mean? To use the same ram kits with different part number in order to populate all my available DIMM slots. For example: I already own 16 GB of Corsair Vengeance LED 3000C15 and I want to add 16GB more of the same kit. Is it a risk or will it work? Corsair Employees Corsair Rick Posted February 18, 2019 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 18, 2019 Hello TheTiesThatBind, I would recommend against mixing kits even with the same part number as it can still have stability issues and with LED/RGB memory you could also experience lighting issues. However, using the same exact part number can reduce the likelihood of that type of issue occurring.
TheTiesThatBind
Well I was actually thinking of buying non RGB ram kits like Vengeance LPX or Dominator platinum, and here in Greece is easier to find kit of 2 than kit of 4.
