Sandocan Posted March 6, 2005 Share Posted March 6, 2005 I have a module XMS 525 CL2 that has worked well for 20 months but now I am sure it has going dead. I had no problems for all this time but from a couple of weeks my PC begun to be not stable (without anything modified recently) and (It was incredible for me) I couldn't complete installation of several software I already checked as working in other systems of my own nor installing succesfully an operating system. So I tried to check (by swapping the CPUs, HDs, and even the whole motherboard to/from another system perfectly working with temp around 48 C) almost everything before thinking about the memory but, at the end, I made the easier test swapping the RAM and everythin were solved!! So I used MEMTES86 v 3.2 to run several test on the module and I seen a TONS of errors only in this module (in every slot I used of my MB) this happens in every kind of memory settings (from PSD settings to SAFE MODE of the BIOS) The system where the module has worked its lifetime is made with Athlon 3000+ BARTON, ABIT NF-S v2 (bios updated to rel 2.4) In this moment I am waiting the answer of my reseller (ww.essedi.it) about a replacement but.. If after 1 day or 24 hours excluding weekends you do not get the rma please email the same to warranty@corsairmemory.com and we will help to resolve it.
