What is the temp shown in main panel?

The temp shown (42.1 in the pic) does not seem to correlate to any temperature sensor. Selecting different sensors in the pull down dialog box has no effect. One would think that if "core 2" was selected the temp would change to match core2. When crunching BOINC setiathome, the temps on the i7-950 goes up past the max to where they have to be throttled but I never see the 42 degree temp change other than 1/2 degree either direction. I assume this is not normal.

Thanks for looking!

Temp did not seem to match actual temps. However, I finally got around to replacing the motherboard. The Dell XPS-730 (alienware brand) was replaced by eVga SLI3. I went from 790i & Q9650 to X58 & 6 core zeon which I needed. This was a clean install of OEM win7pro followed by free upgrade to 10.

After install of iCue the corsair cooler was recognized as H100 instead of H80v2. This was totally unexpected. In any event the temp of the water seems to match the temps of the CPU which is a good sign.
