Toxyturvy
Currently just bought the Asus A8N-SLI Board with an Athlon 64 3500 + (Winchester). I have 2 sticks of Corsair CMX512-3200XLPT(v1.1) boughts as a TwinX Package. Now each stick will work by itself, but if I try and use both togather (In either the blue or black slots the system will not post, can hear constant slow beeps. I have updated the Mobo bios to version 1004, this hasnt helped. Any suggestions here, has anyone else confirmed this sticks will run in dual channel on this mobo?? **Note, both sticks work fine in a Intel 875 Board running dual channel** Regards Matt
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 5, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 5, 2005 Matt, Please try the latest beta bios and then to be sure it's not a module problem I would test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and if they both pass that would suggest a problem with the CPU and I would try replacing it. Toxyturvy
Heya RamGuy, Well, I kinda fixed the problem. I managed to dig out 2 older CMX512-3200c2 memory, and stuck these in instead. Booted first time like a charm. Now I then checked both of the TwinX modules with memtest, and they both pass all the tests on a P4 system i got. Not sure why the other 2 wouldnt work, but I happy now, so i think ill leave it alone. Thanks for the help ) :sunglasse BTW the 1005.3 bios didnt help either, found it eailer. Lightnin
I have the exact same problem. When placed on their own each of the memory mods work perfectly however as soon as you put them together then you get the post beeps.I have tried bumping the voltage up to 2.85 volts as suggested but no joy.
