Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 3, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 3, 2005 Can you tell me our modules part# and the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? Dragonx101
My ram is the CMX512-3200C2 module (one) and my motherboard is the Epox 8RDA6+ Pro along with an Athlon XP 2800+ and an FSB of 333 with bios settings of 16x166, i believe and memory is default settings or should be
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 4, 2005 Please make sure the memory frequency is set to DDR333. CPU Freq: 166 MHz Memory Frequency: 100% Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts Resulting Frequency: 166MHz SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T Then please test the module or modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. But with this CPU if you try run the memory at default or DDR400 it will cause a bottleneck in the chipset and may generate errors that are not from the memory. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 17, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 17, 2005 They should work together, but you may need to relax the timings if you get errors with both together, I would try Cass 2.5-3-3-7 if you need to.
