I wrote an application to restart CUE on every logon. Also to be used when caps lock lights stop functioning or goes haywire.

 

DevCon Control 1.0 is a simple wrapper application for Windows DevCon

command-line utility. Functions: restart, disable and enable O.S. devices.

Actions are displayed on desktop per INI preference.

 

Benefit is devices are listed in INI, so separate shortcuts can be created to restart devices by numbers,

1=USB\VID_1B1C&PID_1B33&REV_0205

2=USB\VID_0480&PID_0200&REV_0000

3=USB\VID_0480&PID_A007&REV_0001

 

Options:

Optional --hide

Position=Center, TopLeft, TopRight, BottomLeft or BottomRight

DisplayTime=Milliseconds

 

Example shortcut:

C:\Program Files\DevCon Control 1.0\DevConCtrl.exe --restart 1"
