Memory Cannot be Read TwinX3200XL and ASUS A8V Deluxe

Hello.

I've built a computer thats running in tiptop shape... before i start to play any games :P I get the memory cannot be read error that everyone talks about in terms of Half Life 2. And yes, while it happens is HL2/Source, unlike the valve hate kiddies, i believe I am the problem, and not the program. I get the same error in C&C Generals, Gunbound, and Source.... Ive been reading on this for weeks, and it seems the best solutions are in ram timings/bios settings and such.

My system specs are as follows

Athlon FX-53 939

Asus A8V Deluxe WiFi edition

2x512 Corsair TWINX3200XL

Soundblaster Audigy 2 plat

EVGA 6800GT

... if i need to include anything else, let me know.

I would love to pretend like i knew what to set as my settings... but i need help.

As of now, the CPU overclocking is on auto, as is with ram clocking (i installed the 1009 newest bios for my mobo and thats the default.

I can turn it on manual and set 50000 different settings that i don't know what they mean... Save me RAM guy o_o!

Do i need to post all the options i have, or do you know what all i should change, and if so, is there an easy way to list all of my bios options, or should i write them down and type em up?

Also... is "RAM Guy" really one guy O_o?

Please load setup defaults and then try these settings:

Dim Voltage to +2.8 Volts:

CAS Latency CL=2.0

Row Cycle Time tRC Bios Default

Row Refresh Cyc Time tRFC Bios Default

Ras# to CAS# delay tRCD 2 (If you have problems I set this to "3")

Row to Row delay Bios Default

Min Ras# Active Time tRAS 5

Row Precharge Time tRP 2

Write Recovery Time Bios Default

Write to Read delay Bios Default

Read to Write Delay Bios Default

Refresh Period tREF Bios Default

Enable 2T Timing Disabled

Then test the system with http://www.memtest.org and make sure it's stable! If you have problems, I would set Enable 2T Timings to AUTO and test it again!
