Lord Alibaski
Hi guys I am a bit worried I may not be able to RMA some RAM due to I have forgot where I actually purchased it from (I do order quite a bit of stuff) I have some Corsair CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 RAM 6GB (3X2GB). The problem is I have 2 sets of this RAM both purchased on different dates, now I have been having a few problems of late with the RAM in Windows (which I thought was the cause) it only started seeing 8GB of the 12GB installed also making my PC having to detect the RAM size on every boot up and then putting the PC in to a constant reboot until I went in to the BIOS and had to click load optimised defaults. You can see here the continuing problems I have had even when I upgraded my CPU https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/1366-x58-xeon-5650.18618052/page-171 The motherboard seems fine I have also tried 2 different sets of RAM with the other set of Corsair RAM and it works perfectly fine, but soon as I put the (faulty) 6GB back in the problems persists straight away. I ran a few test with memtest and that failed on 2 of the 3 RAM sticks. I've started an RMA process just worried that I may need a proof of receipt but we all don't keep receipts. Thanks for any help Lord Alibaski
