alik
Hi, I have tested my Corsair memory with Memtest-86 v3.2 and it is reporting two errors in test 2 and test 3. My System: Athlon64-3200 MSI K8T Neo Motherboard (which I replaced during diagnosis to isolate the problem) 2 x 512MB CMX512-3200C2PRO - Installed in Slot 1 and 2 on Motherboard (1) Lot 0346092 (2) Lot 0407103 Geforce 5700 Video Card WD 80G Hard drive (8mg cache) All Bios settings are at default or are detected by SPD. Nothing is user set. The memory timings are 2.5-3-3-8. I have had several programs crash though very intermittently with the error reports refernecing a memory error, though I did not right down the location. Please let me know how to proceed. alik
I tested each module individually in slot 1 of my computer and I am not receiving any errors. Though together, they do report errors.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 1, 2005 That would suggest some other problem. Please try and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and I would install them in slots 2-3 or 1-3 as well.
alik
I changed the voltage from auto to 2.7 and reran the test for approximately 12 hours, using slots 1 and 3, and have had no problems. I will consider the matter resolved and will keep the suggested configuration. Thanks for the help.
