Nick5768
I have been getting tons of "random" errors all related to memory. This includes "memory can not be read" errors, "Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area" errors, and a couple other messages. I downloaded Memtest and it is reporting errors in the 1000s. I'm not sure if that's normal (I have no experience with memtest) but I suspect not. I haven't overclocked or anything, and the errors come when running "stressful" programs (Half-Life 2, Doom 3, heck even Tiger Woods 2005). Any help would be appreciated :) Thanks, Nick
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 1, 2005 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 1, 2005 Please put the memory modules on either slots 1&2 or 3&4 and make sure that you have the latest BIOS installed for your MB; load optimized/set up default, and set the following BIOS settings; TwinX512 or TwinX1024-3200XL Advanced CPU/Memory Configuration: Memclock Mode: Limit Memclock Value: 2:1 (DDR400) Bank Interleaving: 4/Enabled Burst Length: 8 SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 2T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 5T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T 2T Command Rate: Disabled Jumper Free/Frequency Voltage Control: AI Overclock Tuner: Manual CPU FSB Clock: 200 DDR Voltage: 2.8 Volts AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI (9200 or 9600) or NVIDIA (5200 or 5700) then 1.6 Volts suggested!* All other settings should be set to default settings! Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let's make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
Nick5768
I left memtest on while I went out for dinner, it ran 20 passes without an error. So far no crashes in Windows. Thank you very much! Nick
