Tagkill
I have an ASUS A7N8X-X Motherboard which says it will support the CMX256 A-3200 C2 stick of memory I have. I went to the BIOS and set the CPU freq. to 200 and insured the jumper for the FSB is set correctly. When I put this stick in alone I get the "Memory Beep!!" I usually run a stick of 256DDR PC2700. Any suggestions?

CandyKid
Do you usually run the CPU at 200? This is a pretty good OC if you havn't changed the multiplier. Try running the module with the CPU at stock speed. PLUR CK
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 1, 2005 Yes, you would need to run the memory in sync with your CPU. If you run them out of sync it will cause a bottleneck in the chipset and may generate errors that are not from the memory.
